Lockwood Broadcast Group is looking for experienced Account Executives to manage and grow transactional business as well focusing on prospecting and closing new business in the following regions: KAKE-TV (Wichita, KS), KTEN-TV (Denison, TX), WTNZ-TV (Knoxville, TN), WFXG-TV (Augusta, GA), WDFX-TV (Dothan, AL), WPGX-TV (Panama City, FL), and WSKY-TV (Hampton, VA). We are looking for a self-starter with proficiency in cold calling and creating and delivering presentations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with agencies and clients while driving revenue to achieve monthly goals
  • Close new and incremental business
  • Understand and interpret business objectives and advertising strategies of clients in order to help them achieve those objectives through effective use of our product portfolio
  • Prepare, schedule and deliver sales presentations

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in one of the following regions: Wichita, KS; Denison, TX; Knoxville, TN; Augusta, GA; Dothan, AL; Panama City, FL; or Hampton, VA.
  • Proficient in the operation of a computer keyboard
  • Proficient in Microsoft Products including but not limited to Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Good driving record
  • One-three years of television sales experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising or marketing is preferred

  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service skills
  • Team player, who is flexible to changing needs to daily business
  • Ability to work in a rapid-pace environment

Lockwood Broadcast Group in Richmond, Va. seeks full time master control operator responsible for the operation of all systems within a multi station master control. Duties include, but are not limited to, operation of station broadcast automation systems, editing on-air playlist, setup and record satellite and other electronic delivery feeds, ingest and prepare video content onto servers, live on-air switching and quality control of all programming and transmission systems. Must be able to understand and adhere to basic FCC rules including EAS systems and logs. Must be able to work varied shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays. Lockwood Broadcast Group’s Creative Marketing Department is seeking a Brand Manager proficient in Video Editing and Motion Graphic Design for Broadcast Television and Digital. This ideal candidate will work from our central operation facility in Richmond, VA and will assist in leading, developing and maintaining the on-air image and marketing effort for multiple broadcast TV stations. Other duties include supporting business and traffic operation as it pertains to the department. Preferred skills include knowledge and experience with the latest versions of Final Cut, Adobe CC with After Effects & Photoshop, and the Apple OSX operating system. This team member should also demonstrate aptitude with analytical, interpersonal and organizational abilities, as well as attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team. Candidates should have an overall eye for design and an interest in broadcast television, print, digital media, and online marketing. 5+ years of experience in broadcast editing, marketing, or related field required, along with an online portfolio highlighting their multimedia skills.

Anchors here are leaders in the newsroom, relying on their news judgment and experience. We need someone who will plug-in to our community, a person who is enterprising and creates compelling news stories and live shots. Our anchors also help mentor young producers and reporters.

Our anchors also fill-in produce and associate produce daily. Reporting duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will also be social media savvy and ready to be part of station events and promotional efforts. The individual who fills this position will play an important role in the long-term growth and success of WFXG FOX54.

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS in journalism, Communications or a related field
  • 2-5 years experience preferred
  • Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems
  • Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism
  • A portfolio with examples of strong breaking news reporting
  • Ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven live shots, strong social media skills, including an active news hound presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • Knowledge of ENPS, LiveU, Frankly and Edius a plus
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines
  • Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events

    The candidate selected for this position will have experience in WSI or Weather Central industry-standard weather graphics and forecast platforms.

    Well-demonstrated experience in weather alert systems as well as extensive knowledge of social media with the ability to disseminate weather information across multiple platforms is also required.

    All candidates should possess a meteorology or science-related degree. You should also be certified as a meteorologist or be near completion of the requirements for certification.

    WFXG FOX54 in Augusta, Georgia, is currently recruiting for full-time and part-time Production Assistants to join our growing news operation. Production Assistants perform a variety of duties associated with live newscast production and master control operations.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Construction, set-up maintenance, installation and operation of props, lighting, mics, prompter, robotic and ENG cameras and other production equipment
  • Digital video editing for news, web and social media
  • Video editing and ingest for programming and commercials as part of master control operations
  • Assist technical directors as needed.
  • Create graphics for newscasts and post-production
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications preferred. Completion of college level technical & editing classes a plus. Prefer experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop.
